RESOURCES

Without consulting these webpages, this blog would probably just be complete hearsay.

BrainBustah!
New reviews site from the inimitable Bonski.

CAGEMATCH
A comprehensive database of pretty much all professional wrestling. It's the best resource out there and writing this blog would be more-or-less impossible without it. German-owned but the above URL is a portal to the English-led content.

Instrumental in leading me to the conclusion that there was some kind of audience, however small, for exposition and digression on Japanese wrestling. Collaboratively written and knowledgeable, though recently the authors have focused on podcasting.

Irish-owned English language fansite of DDT, the sports-entertainment led home of Kota Ibushi. This is incredibly detailed and knowledgeable stuff written from a real place of insight and enjoyment.

Fast and accurate updates of the latest results across a plethora of Japanese promotions, with previews of upcoming title shows and insider information on the biggest stories coming out of puro.

Does for Dragon Gate what Dramatic DDT does for DDT. Accurate and regularly updated information on the roster, stables, results and event, with added insight.

PuroLove
German language site but fully comprehensive results and news service for any and all action coming out of Japan from the largest promotions to the occasional shows.

Voices of Wrestling
Not a resource as such, but another place to find regular NJPW reviews.

Jason Felix covers as much NJPW as I do and goes back that little bit further. Different style of reviewing to mine that looks to capture the events in-ring with a little of the emotional flavour too.

Yottsume
Yottsume, via his Twitter and blog, is a man on the inside and godhead for English-speaking fans: he translates promo videos and sections from NJPW books. He had a lucrative sideline as merch man. He's an all-round good guy too.
